Welcome to the Brassy Broad's Brass Tacks Pod-Class! This is your DIY Guide to Creating a Kick-Sass Podcast.
Launching your first podcast can be a bit overwhelming when you try to do it on your own. The purpose of this course is to help you focus on the brass tacks essentials of getting your podcast off the ground and into the ears of your audience.
The material presented in this course is certainly not "the only way" to do things. My goal is to give you options that work for a variety of technical skill levels and budgets.
Many podcasts never see the light of day because their creator is overwhelmed and just doesn't know where to begin. This mini-course will guide you through the beginning phases of your podcast creation, and help you build your podcast on a solid foundation.
The accompanying workbook is designed to help you gain clarity on WHY, HOW, WHERE, and a host of other questions that will help you create the podcast you would be excited to have in your ears.

Hi! I'm Jen Edds, Head Broad in Charge (HBIC) at The Brassy Broadcasting Co. My infatuation with podcasting began awhile back, when a couple of nuns asked if I would interested in editing their podcast. At the time, I knew how to make music, not podcasts. I had no idea what that would entail, but I was curious. I cannonballed into the deep end of the podcasting pool, started my own show, and began learning everything I could about podcasting. That one “yes” sucked me into the world of podcasting and changed the trajectory of my life.
Now I'm on a mission to help you live in the ears, heads, and hearts of your audience. I simplify the tech stuff, teach you how to do it, and empower you to explore your passions, chase your curiosities, and share your findings with the world. And hopefully, we have a little fun along the way.
I bring a rock'n'roll attitude to podcasting. Years of playing in bands with a DIY mentality, and learning to make the most of the limited funds, resources, and equipment have shaped my approach to podcast launch and production. I encourage you to keep it simple, keep it fun, and keep it real.
